Cod Fish (Gadus spp.) are deep water fish found in the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. They are rich in omega 3 fatty acids and supply lean protein. Our freeze dried cod is made from whole fish muscle that has been carefully dried so as to retain the nutritional value and great taste of raw fish. Our cod is sourced from reputable vendors in North America. Cod fish is considered a sustainably harvested fish (Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafoodwatch Program). Instinct Salmon Meal Formula kibble for dogs is coated with Freeze Dried Cod.  We selected cod for this freeze dried raw coating because it provides the great taste and nutrition of a raw fish on a kibble.  Using cod also helps us keep the Instinct Salmon Meal Formula 100% poultry-free – making it a perfect choice for dogs with allergies & intolerances to chicken and other poultry products.
