Pudgy Pooches are Shedding their Extra Pounds!

It seems like everyone tries to slim down in the summer.  Now, some lucky dogs are getting a special program designed to help them become sleek and healthy. WJFK Radio, Nature's Variety, Pawticulars, and the Washington Animal Rescue League are sponsoring a
“Fat Dog Contest” – with the grand prize winner to be pampered with more than $1000 in prizes.  Dogs of all sizes and shapes entered the contest and three finalists were chosen to compete: Paws, Poochie, and Wolfy.

These heavy hounds are working hard all summer with expert nutritionists and personal trainers, as well as enjoying a Nature’s Variety Raw Frozen Diet. After only one month, Paws, Poochie, and Wolfy have lost a combined total of 41.5 pounds!

At the end of the contest, the dog that loses the most weight (based on overall percentage of weight) will be declared the Grand Prize Winner. Prizes are worth over $1000, and include a free year’s supply of Nature’s Variety Raw Frozen Diets, a weekend stay (for pet parents and pooch) at the posh and pet friendly Hotel Helix, and much more. Good luck to Paws, Poochie, and Wolfy as they continue to lose weight over the coming months.
