RABBIT, DUCK, AND VENISON FORMULAS
Nature’s Variety would like to inform you of an upcoming change in our exotic Instinct cans for dogs and cats. Unfortunately we are no longer able to source sufficient supplies of "rabbit liver" and "venison liver." After researching viable alternatives, the Rabbit and Venison Formulas will now include natural "pork liver" as the second ingredient. Also, we've added nutritious & palatable turkey liver to our Duck Formula. Finally, eggs have been removed from each of these diets because they may be an allergen to some dogs.
Like all of our Instinct canned diets, the new Rabbit, Duck, and Venison Formulas are still 95% meat and liver, and complete & balanced for all life stages. The changes described above will take place on all products that display an expiration date on or after 02/01/11.
Why Pork Liver?
We chose pork liver as a replacement for rabbit liver and venison liver because pork is hypo-allergenic and highly palatable. Also, of all animal-based protein, pork protein is the most digestible and has the most favorable amino acid profile. Our pork ingredients are 100% natural, free of antibiotics and growth hormones, and sourced from USDA inspected facilities.
