ONE MORE STEP TOWARDS CIRCULARITY

At Nature’s Variety, we know that change can start from anywhere, even from a brand of dog or cat food.

We are aware of the footprint left by our decisions

This is why we put all our efforts into creating food for your dog or cat using high-quality, natural ingredients, such as free-range chicken and salmon of guaranteed origin from Norway. We are also making this effort to try to reduce the impact we have on the environment.

Our goal? Achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050. This means progressively reducing emissions from the farm through to our packs. We are aware that this is an ambitious goal, so we have defined a series of specific actions to help us reduce our footprint and build a more sustainable future for everyone: dogs, cats and humans.

Improved and More Sustainable Recipes:
We prioritise sources such as white meat and fish, which have a lower impact on carbon emissions (CO2). In fact, you will not find any red meat in our entire range of natural dry food. The high nutritional quality of our recipes is what defines us. The ingredients we use are carefully selected, not only taking into account the quality of the ingredients, but also their environmental impact.

Reduction of the Use of Virgin Plastic:
We are continually moving forward! We are working with our suppliers to reduce the use of virgin plastic. That’s why, by 2030, 30% of the plastic we buy for our packaging will be recycled.Incorporating recycled material into our packs is highly complex both technically and industrially. This is why we’ve partnered with the ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification), a leading certification system designed to enhance traceable and sustainable supply chains, to ensure that our suppliers meet our requirements in a transparent and efficient manner.
null
100% Renewable Electricity:
We use electricity from 100% renewable resources to produce our dry food recipes in our factories, reducing carbon emissions and supporting the development of clean and sustainable energy.
null
Use of Recyclable Packaging:
If you like our Dry and Freeze Dried ranges, you will be pleased to know that all the packaging they use is recyclable, because it is made from a single material: recyclable plastic. This can be used to create new, non-food plastic products and can have several useful lives, reducing the manufacturing and consumption of virgin plastic.

Controlled Origin and Animal Welfare

We want to know where our ingredients come from:

KNOW OUR SUPPLIERS
This means knowing our suppliers too. All the ingredients we use for our recipes come from trusted suppliers with whom we maintain long-term relationships, guaranteeing high quality standards. We do not use any genetically modified (GMO) ingredients in our products.
null
NOT IN CAGES!
Our chickens are of certified origin and free-range. This farming method means that the animals can roam freely on the farm.
null
TRACEABILITY AND ANIMAL WELFARE
As you can see, traceability and animal welfare are very important to us and we want to continue to improve them in the coming years by demanding increasingly strict criteria.
null
RAISED IN CRYSTAL-CLEAR WATER
Our salmon are raised in the crystal-clear waters of the Norwegian fjords.
